Dr. Harold Nolte serves as the president of Dodge City Community College in Kansas. Outside his professional obligations, Dr. Harold Nolte holds positions on several directorial boards, including the Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors. In January 2016, the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City announced its success in fulfilling its Bus for Us Campaign funding goal.
The Bus for Us Campaign kicked off on October 15, 2015, with the goal of raising $75,000 to purchase a designated Boys and Girls Club school bus. Intended to help the organization foster a better future for over 200 children, campaign funds went toward providing safe transportation to and from the J&D Wagner Unit and Wyandotte County Unit locations. Children in some areas previously received transportation through the Boys and Girls Club’s fleet of eight vans, however, the fleet’s limitations left significant gaps in transportation services. The Bus for Us Campaign launched to address these transportation gaps.
On January 6, 2016, the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City announced that it exceeded its goal and successfully raised enough funds to secure the required resources to expand its transportation services.
